Theme: Thy Kingdom Come

Kingdom Focus: Seeing the Americas through the eyes of God and consecrating this thirty-one-day journey of prayer, compassion, reconciliation, revival, justice, and disciple-making.
Big Question: What does God see when He looks upon the Americas?
The eagle had disappeared beyond the horizon, but its journey was not over. Nathan remained on the ridge for several minutes after the great bird vanished from sight. The colours of the evening sky had begun to fade, and the familiar landscape below was slowly being covered by darkness. Yet something within him sensed that the eagle had not merely flown away. It had crossed into another chapter of the story God was still writing among the nations.
In his imagination, Nathan followed the eagle as it rose above the coastline and allowed the powerful currents of the wind to carry it over the open ocean. Beneath it stretched an immense expanse of water, while behind it remained the nations of Oceania, Asia, and the Middle East. Those nations had filled the previous journey with stories of courage, suffering, faith, persecution, resilience, service, and hope. Ahead of the eagle lay another vast region of the world, a continent of extraordinary beauty and influence, but also a continent carrying wounds that could not be understood through statistics and headlines alone.
As the eagle continued its journey, the first outlines of the Americas appeared beneath the morning light. Ice-covered coastlines emerged in the far north, followed by forests, mountains, lakes, plains, deserts, rivers, cities, farmlands, islands, and coastlines stretching towards the southern edge of the world. From the Arctic North to Tierra del Fuego, the continent appeared like one long story written across the earth, containing many peoples, languages, histories, cultures, struggles, and possibilities.
From the eagle’s height, the political boundaries drawn by human beings were almost invisible. The eagle did not see the continent primarily as Canada, the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Argentina, Jamaica, Haiti, or any of the other nations and territories that make up the region. It did not divide the people into citizens and foreigners, conservatives and liberals, wealthy and poor, developed and developing, powerful and powerless. It simply saw people, all created in the image of God, all carrying stories, wounds, dreams, fears, responsibilities, and the deep human desire for dignity, identity, security, belonging, justice, truth, and hope.
The eagle saw Indigenous communities whose ancestors had lived upon the land long before modern borders were drawn. It saw descendants of enslaved people still carrying the consequences of injustices committed generations earlier. It saw families who had crossed oceans in search of safety and opportunity, as well as migrants moving through forests, deserts, rivers, and border crossings because remaining at home appeared more dangerous than leaving everything behind. It saw powerful cities whose decisions influenced global economies and small communities whose names rarely appeared in international conversations.
It saw universities producing knowledge, corporations directing commerce, artists shaping culture, athletes influencing young people, and churches gathering in great cathedrals, modest buildings, storefronts, homes, prisons, villages, and remote communities. It saw wealth beyond imagination existing beside poverty that was often hidden only a few streets away. It saw nations blessed with oil, gold, fertile land, forests, water, technology, creativity, and human talent, yet still struggling with corruption, inequality, violence, addiction, loneliness, family breakdown, trafficking, political division, spiritual confusion, and fear.
The eagle also saw that God had not abandoned the Americas. Across the continent, there were pastors serving communities that could not afford to support them, missionaries travelling through rivers and forests to reach isolated peoples, grandmothers praying through the night, students gathering to study Scripture, families opening their homes to migrants, and believers feeding the hungry, visiting prisoners, caring for the sick, rescuing children, rebuilding homes after disasters, and standing against injustice. Their names might never appear in the news, but their obedience was producing lights in places where darkness had seemed overwhelming.
As the eagle moved across Canada and the United States, it saw cities filled with people from almost every nation on earth. It saw opportunity, innovation, influence, education, economic power, and extraordinary human achievement. Yet it also saw racial tension, political hostility, broken families, addiction, gun violence, isolation, and churches struggling to demonstrate the unity for which Jesus prayed. It saw communities with many religious institutions but little trust, many voices but little listening, and great material abundance alongside deep spiritual hunger.
Across Mexico and Central America, the eagle saw ancient cultures, courageous families, fertile lands, expanding cities, strong communities, and people known for hospitality, creativity, faith, and perseverance. At the same time, it saw communities living under the influence of organised crime, young people being recruited into gangs, families affected by corruption and violence, farmers threatened by drought, and migrants beginning dangerous journeys because they could no longer imagine a secure future in the places they called home.
Across the Caribbean, the eagle saw beautiful islands surrounded by clear waters and filled with cultures whose music, language, food, faith, and creativity had influenced the world. Behind the beauty, however, it also saw fragile economies, communities repeatedly rebuilding after hurricanes, young people leaving home because of limited opportunities, and nations still wrestling with the long-term consequences of slavery, colonialism, debt, external dependence, and unequal development.
When the eagle reached South America, it followed the long line of the Andes, the winding waters of the Amazon, the great plains, crowded cities, rural settlements, coastal communities, and distant villages scattered across the continent. It saw extraordinary natural wealth existing beside severe inequality. It saw Indigenous communities defending their land and culture, families separated by economic migration, governments battling corruption and instability, forests being destroyed under the pressure of greed, and millions of young people wondering whether the future would offer them opportunity or disappointment.
As the eagle rose higher, the connections between the regions became clearer. North America was connected to Central America, Central America was connected to South America, and the mainland was connected to the islands of the seas. The decisions of one government could affect families far beyond its borders. The demands of consumers in one nation could shape the working conditions of people in another. Drug consumption in one region could strengthen criminal organisations elsewhere. Environmental destruction in one country could affect the climate, health, and economy of many others. In the same way, a movement of prayer, justice, compassion, disciple-making, or reconciliation in one community could travel across borders and influence an entire generation.
Nathan understood that human beings often pray for nations as though each one exists in isolation. People pray for their own country, economy, security, government, and children, but God sees how every nation is connected to others. He sees how injustice in one place produces suffering somewhere else, how generosity in one nation can rescue lives in another, and how disciples raised in one community can carry the Gospel across borders, languages, and cultures.
The Americas are therefore more than a collection of territories. They are a neighbourhood of nations whose histories, decisions, resources, economies, cultures, and futures are deeply connected. The command of Jesus remains relevant to every one of them: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Jesus did not merely command His followers to gather converts, increase religious attendance, or build powerful institutions. He commanded them to make disciples whose lives would be shaped by His truth, character, compassion, humility, courage, holiness, justice, and sacrificial love.
Nathan began to imagine what the Americas might look like if the continent were filled with such disciples. He imagined political leaders who valued truth more than personal survival, businesspeople who valued people more than profit, judges who could not be purchased, police officers who protected communities without prejudice, teachers who recognised the potential within every child, and artists who understood the power of culture to shape the soul of a generation. He imagined parents who discipled their children through both words and example, churches that refused to be divided by race, language, political opinion, social class, or denomination, and young people who discovered that their lives had a purpose greater than fame, pleasure, wealth, or public approval.
He imagined Indigenous peoples being treated with dignity, migrants being recognised as human beings rather than political problems, prisoners being given opportunities for genuine transformation, vulnerable children being protected, the poor being remembered, and the powerful being held accountable. He imagined the Gospel being preached not only from pulpits but demonstrated through ordinary lives in homes, workplaces, schools, hospitals, government offices, farms, villages, cities, and digital communities.
This is what the Kingdom of God can look like when it enters human life. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He said, “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” That prayer was not an invitation to escape the world but a call for the values of heaven to confront and transform the realities of the earth. Where hatred has ruled, God desires love to come. Where lies have ruled, He desires truth to come. Where corruption has ruled, He desires integrity to come. Where injustice has ruled, He desires righteousness to come. Where fear has ruled, He desires faith to come. Where division has ruled, He desires reconciliation to come. Where despair has ruled, He desires hope to come.
As the eagle began to descend, small lights appeared across the continent. One came from a home where a family had gathered to pray. Another came from a church feeding people who had lost their homes. Another appeared in a prison where a man had surrendered his life to Christ. Another shone from a university where students had gathered to study the Scriptures. Another appeared beside an Amazonian river where a local disciple was teaching the Gospel in the language of his people. Another came from a Caribbean island where believers were rebuilding homes after a storm, while another shone near a border where volunteers were offering food, water, prayer, and dignity to exhausted migrants.
The lights continued to multiply in cities, villages, forests, mountains, schools, hospitals, prisons, businesses, farms, churches, and homes. Nathan realised that the future of the Americas would not be determined only by presidents, parliaments, corporations, armies, technologies, economic systems, or courts. It would also be shaped by ordinary people who chose obedience to God: one intercessor, one disciple-maker, one honest leader, one faithful parent, one compassionate doctor, one courageous teacher, one ethical entrepreneur, one reconciled family, and one transformed life at a time.
The eagle had crossed the ocean, and a new journey had begun. For the next thirty-one days, we will travel across the Americas not as tourists, political commentators, or distant observers, but as intercessors. We will listen before we speak, seek understanding before making judgments, recognise the dignity of every people, confront painful realities without surrendering to despair, and celebrate evidence of God’s grace wherever it appears.
We will pray for governments without placing our ultimate trust in political power. We will pray for churches without ignoring their failures. We will pray for justice without abandoning mercy, and we will ask God for revival that produces repentance, reconciliation, compassion, disciple-making, and lasting national transformation. From the Arctic North to Tierra del Fuego, from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific, across Central America, the Caribbean, and the islands of the seas, our united prayer will be simple and clear: Father, let Your Kingdom come across the Americas.
As you begin this journey, consider the images, opinions, assumptions, or political ideas that immediately come to mind when you think about the Americas. Ask yourself whether you tend to see these nations mainly through headlines, statistics, political arguments, economic categories, or cultural stereotypes, and invite God to help you see the people of the continent through His eyes.
Reflect on the communities within the Americas that you know very little about. Consider the historical wounds that still require truth, repentance, justice, forgiveness, and reconciliation, and also take time to recognise the signs of God’s grace that are already visible through faithful churches, courageous families, compassionate leaders, and ordinary disciples.
Ask God to show you whether there is a particular nation, community, people group, or issue that He wants you to carry throughout these thirty-one days. Do not rush this moment. Listen carefully and write down whatever He places upon your heart.
Matthew 6:9–10: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Psalm 24:1: “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”
Acts 17:26–27: “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord.”
Matthew 28:19–20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”
Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
The Americas stretch from the Arctic regions of the north through North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America to the southernmost inhabited regions of the world. The continent contains hundreds of Indigenous peoples and languages, descendants of ancient civilisations, communities shaped by European colonisation, descendants of enslaved Africans, and generations of immigrants who have arrived from almost every region of the world.
This diversity has produced extraordinary cultural creativity, economic power, scientific progress, agricultural abundance, missionary movements, artistic influence, and technological innovation. The Americas have played a major role in shaping global politics, business, media, entertainment, sport, education, and Christianity. Yet the region also carries deep wounds connected to colonial conquest, slavery, racial injustice, displacement of Indigenous peoples, political violence, economic exploitation, corruption, organised crime, trafficking, forced migration, addiction, family breakdown, environmental destruction, and severe inequality.
Prayer must not ignore these realities. Genuine intercession brings the truth of a people’s condition before God while continuing to believe in His power to redeem. The Kingdom of God does not belong to one political ideology, race, nationality, denomination, or economic class. It confronts the sin of every society and calls every people to repentance, justice, mercy, humility, reconciliation, and obedience to Jesus Christ.
Throughout this journey, our purpose will not be condemnation but identification, compassion, intercession, and participation. We will ask God to show us what He sees, listen for what He is saying, and obey whatever action He places before us.
We thank God because the whole earth and everyone within it belong to Him. We thank Him for the beauty, diversity, natural resources, cultures, languages, creativity, and peoples of the Americas. We thank Him for every pastor, missionary, intercessor, disciple-maker, humanitarian worker, educator, healthcare professional, entrepreneur, public servant, and community leader who is serving faithfully across the continent.
We thank God for churches that continue to preach the Gospel and serve vulnerable communities, for Indigenous believers carrying Christ within their languages and cultures, and for immigrants and diaspora communities enriching nations with their gifts, faith, labour, and experience. We also thank Him for movements of revival, justice, reconciliation, compassion, and disciple-making that are already emerging throughout the Americas.
Above all, we thank God that no nation, community, family, or individual is beyond His redemptive reach.
Take time to listen prayerfully and ask whether God is calling you to release prejudice, political hostility, racial bias, cultural superiority, or national pride. Consider whether He is placing a particular country, people group, city, or social issue upon your heart and whether He is asking you to become more intentional in praying for leaders, migrants, Indigenous peoples, young people, families, churches, or vulnerable communities.
Ask whether God is inviting you to move beyond prayer into practical obedience. He may be calling you to learn, give, serve, encourage, reconcile, advocate, mentor, disciple, or share what you are learning with others.

Begin by locating the Americas on a map and identifying the regions and nations that will be covered during this journey. Choose one country, city, community, or people group that you will carry in prayer throughout the thirty-one days, and take time to learn about its history, culture, strengths, wounds, and spiritual needs.
Examine your own heart and repent of any prejudice, hostility, racial bias, political hatred, or cultural superiority that could hinder your intercession. Consider inviting another person, family, church group, or prayer network to join the journey, and begin a prayer journal in which you record what God reveals to you each day.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and acknowledge that the earth is Yours and everyone within it belongs to You. North America belongs to You, Central America belongs to You, South America belongs to You, and the Caribbean and the islands of the seas belong to You. Every nation, tribe, language, community, family, and individual is known, seen, and loved by You.
As we begin this thirty-one-day journey, cleanse our hearts from prejudice, pride, political hostility, racial superiority, cultural arrogance, indifference, and judgment. Teach us to see the Americas through Your eyes, and give us compassion for people whose stories we do not yet understand. Give us the humility to listen before we speak, the patience to learn before we form conclusions, and the courage to confront difficult truths without losing hope.
We consecrate every day of this journey to You. Direct our attention to the people, places, wounds, and opportunities that matter to Your heart. Do not allow us to treat prayer as a religious performance. Make us true intercessors who are willing to feel, listen, learn, repent, pray, give, serve, and obey.
Father, let Your Kingdom come across the Americas. Let Your will be done in governments, courts, parliaments, businesses, schools, universities, hospitals, prisons, media organisations, entertainment industries, sporting institutions, farms, villages, cities, and homes. Where corruption has taken root, raise people of integrity. Where violence has ruled, establish peace. Where racial hatred has divided communities, bring repentance and reconciliation. Where historical wounds remain open, bring truth, justice, forgiveness, and healing.
Where families have been broken, release restoration. Where children are vulnerable, raise protectors. Where young people are confused, reveal their identity and purpose in Christ. Where migrants are exposed to danger, provide protection, compassion, and just solutions. Where Indigenous peoples have been displaced, silenced, or dishonoured, restore dignity and raise disciples from within their communities who will carry the Gospel in ways that honour both Christ and the people He has created.
Where churches have become divided, compromised, distracted, or powerless, bring repentance and revival. Raise disciples who make disciples, pastors who serve rather than control, leaders who fear God more than public opinion, businesspeople who pursue integrity, artists who communicate truth, teachers who recognise destiny, parents who disciple their children, and intercessors who refuse to surrender the nations to darkness.
Let the Gospel travel through cities, mountains, forests, rivers, islands, universities, workplaces, digital platforms, and family homes. Let every language hear the good news of Jesus Christ, and let churches cross racial, political, cultural, economic, and denominational boundaries in obedience to the prayer of Jesus that His followers may be one.
Father, awaken the Americas, heal the Americas, reconcile the Americas, and disciple the Americas. Let the knowledge of Your glory cover the continent as the waters cover the sea. May millions of lights arise through ordinary men and women who choose obedience, and may our prayers, resources, relationships, gifts, and lives become instruments of Your Kingdom purposes.
We declare that despair, violence, corruption, racism, poverty, political division, and spiritual darkness will not have the final word. Jesus Christ will have the final word. Let Your Kingdom come and let Your will be done across the Americas as it is in heaven.

I consecrate myself to this thirty-one-day journey of prayer. I will listen before judging, seek understanding before forming conclusions, pray with compassion, speak truth with love, pursue reconciliation, stand for justice, make disciples, and obey whatever God asks me to do.
From the Arctic North to Tierra del Fuego, across North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and the islands of the seas, I declare that the Kingdom of God will come. Families will be restored, leaders will govern with integrity, churches will awaken, disciples will multiply, the oppressed will receive justice, the vulnerable will receive protection, historical wounds will be healed, divided peoples will be reconciled, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ will advance.
Let the knowledge of the glory of the Lord cover the Americas as the waters cover the sea.

The eagle has crossed the ocean, the continent lies before us, and the journey has begun. We are not called to observe from a distance but to stand in the gap with understanding, compassion, faith, and obedience.
Carry a nation in your heart, remember a people who are often forgotten, listen to their stories, and continue praying until lights of transformation begin to appear. The Americas are not beyond hope, because God is already at work and He is inviting us to join Him.
